Rebuild strength. Restore confidence. Run on your terms.
Returning to running after pregnancy is about more than getting back out the door. It’s about understanding your body, rebuilding capacity, and ensuring you’re ready for the demands of running.
With extensive experience in postpartum care, strength and fitness programming, and individualized running plan development, Julia supports you in navigating the transition from postpartum recovery to running with a plan tailored to your body, goals, and readiness.
Your physiotherapy plan will focus on key areas of postpartum recovery, including:
Pelvic floor readiness and management of symptoms with impact
Diastasis recti and abdominal wall function
Strength, impact tolerance, and running readiness
Progressive return-to-running planning tailored to your goals and recovery, as clinically appropriate
Objective strength measurements using VALD technology may be incorporated when clinically indicated to help guide your care.
Your postpartum journey is unique. Your return-to-running plan should be, too.
What Does the Process Look Like?
A typical plan involves one initial assessment followed by four to five follow-up appointments over approximately 2–3 months. This allows time to assess your starting point, progress strength and impact tolerance, and develop a sustainable plan that supports your longer-term goals.
Appointments may be a combination of in-person and virtual sessions, as appropriate. The frequency and number of appointments are flexible and will be guided by your individual needs, progress, and goals.
Appointment Fees
Initial assessment: 60 minutes — $130
Follow-up appointments: 45 minutes — $115 each
Your Goals. Your Pace.
The goal isn’t to get you running at all costs. It’s to understand your current capacity, address barriers, and create a sustainable plan that moves you toward your goals. If running isn’t appropriate yet, Julia will help you identify the next steps to support your recovery and progress safely.
