Are you experiencing pain or discomfort that is keeping you from doing what you want to be doing? Maybe it’s something that you notice from the moment you wake up in the morning, until you go to bed at night. Or maybe it’s something you only notice after a long walk or run, or when you’re working in your garden.

I can work with you - in person at your home, or via telehealth - to figure out what is causing your symptoms, and design a plan to address the issue and help get you back to doing what you want to be doing.

Physiotherapy appointments are always one on one - one hour for the first appointment to assess and start treatment, and 30 to 60 minutes for follow-up appointments. At the first appointment, we will talk about the reason you’re seeing a physiotherapist, and the goals you have for treatment. I will then complete an assessment, and together we will make a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle. Balance between continuing to do your activities while working on rehab is important, and I will try my best to help keep you active in your sport or activity during the treatment process.

My treatment philosophy focuses on finding and treating the cause of an injury, as well as the presenting symptoms. Emphasis is placed on movement education and exercise for future injury prevention. Manual therapy, taping and modalities are also used as needed to help reduce symptoms and reinforce movement patterns.

Common reasons people see me for physiotherapy:

  • running assessment (or running injury assessment)

  • returning to running after having a baby - strength and impact assessments, strength and mobility plans, weekly running plans

  • exercise plans during and after pregnancy

  • acute injuries or concerns (ankle sprains, back pain, shoulder pain, post-surgery, etc.)

  • longer term or persistent issues (chronic back pain, pelvic pain, headaches, etc.)

  • exercise plans to help support a healthy lifestyle

  • strength and mobility plans to help maintain fitness during and after menopause

  • post-operative care (knee and hip replacements, general surgery)

  • much more!

Working together to help you get back to being you.
