Physiotherapy for Runners

Runners want to run

… and my goal is to keep you running as much as possible.

How can physiotherapy help?

Runners spend a lot of time doing what they love, which is running. If you’re reading this, you know it’s true! I am a runner myself, and completely understand the frustration if you aren’t able to run as much as you want, as fast as you want or as far as you would like. So, how can physiotherapy help keep you on the trails?

  • Running Assessments - via telehealth or in person, I can look at your running style and work with you to improve things such as overstriding, step rate, rotation, etc.

  • Injury Assessment, Treatment and Prevention - runners are great at moving forward, but sometimes need help building strength and resilience in the other directions (side to side and rotation). I can build you a program to help you improve your strength, combined with drills to help you run more efficiently… and less likely to develop and injury. If you are currently injured, I can help you recover and get back to the mileage you want to be doing.

  • Strength and Conditioning Programs - I know, I know. It’s more fun to run than to do strength exercises and drills. I can help you by providing a quick and easy running strengthening routine to help keep you strong and resilient, without taking time away from your running schedule.

  • Training Schedules - I have taken additional training as a run coach, and can help you develop a plan to reach your next running goal. Whether you’re just getting started running, or are training for an ultra, I can help you with strength and mobility exercises, running drills and running schedules.
